Judging the FIDM Debut show last month was great fun and spending a little time with Carlos, watching how his students interact with him reminded me a little of my old school days at FIDM. I had a teacher who told me-"Learn as much as you can about this business, do not get stuck doing only one thing. Try to design in as many markets as you can." She was right! Some designers love evening others swim but to know more than one market is an exciting challenge. It creates diversity. Fashion is....conversation.
