Fashionable Ride: Love Machine

Steve Kimmel's Love Machine

I love a good car show and last year while shooting the Roadster Show at the Pomona Fairplex, I came across this 1964 Impala. It was not the car that pulled me in, it was the interior. I had no idea this car was famous for anything, which is sad considering this car is a movie icon. Later in the week I received an email from Mr. Kimmel asking if I could shoot his car for a write up on his ride. Meeting up at an abandoned gas station the interior was far more entertaining than a quick shot at a car show. It is filled with colorful fur and fashionable whimsy. Today is the 40th anniversary of "Up in Smoke", Cheech and Chong’s classic stoner movie. Thanks you Steve for giving me the opportunity to shoot your ride, it was fun. Catch the story-line for his Impala at TheClassicCars.comJournal and remember fashion is….

Catch the Love Machine today at Amoeba Records from 3:00-6:00pm for the Rhino Records "Up In Smoke" re-release.
