Fashion Illustration and the Jewelry Cad

Inspiration: Jewelry CAD Design

This fashion illustration was going to be about vintage embroidery, but while visiting one of my favorite sites for inspiration, a pair of 15th-century earrings popped up.  It only took a moment before I realized that the fashion illustration was nudging the embroidery into a jewelry cad, I could hear her whispering I would love to wear those with that feather dress you’ve been sketching for the past two weeks. There is nothing worse than a fashion illustration with an opinion.

Inspired by a historical jeweled 15th-century art piece the CADs focus was to see if the illustration could be an exercise to create the stones and metallic parts in Illustrator then moving it to Photoshop for the final finish.
